"I met Derek through needing work done on my Dolomite 1850HL. Without his input the car would have been scrapped as it was not an ecomomical repair following failing its MOT on corrosion in the chassis rails. Not only did Derek repair the car at a very reasonable price but also put it through the MOT as well. Since then I have sold the 1850 and purchased a sprint to replace it. Derek has carried out several repairs on the sprint such as sourcing and replacing the top half only of the front panel using a second hand part, something most repairers would not feel was worth their while. He has undertaken other repairs on the car including mechanical work all of which has been done to a high standard at a very reasonable cost. I met Derek through the Triumph Dolomite Club when he bought a project vehicle from me and restored it to show condition. Since that time Derek has carried out work on a number of vehicles for me including a 1998 Mini Cooper, a 1977 Triumph Dolomite Sprint, a 1980 S3 Land Rover, a 1993 Land Rover. He has carried out all this work at my premises and to a very high standard.
The work has included fabrication and welding of complicated chassis parts, replacement of double curve roof sections, fabrication and welding of roof channels, boot floor replacements, inner and outer sill welding, reconstruction of inner wings and fabrication of bespoke parts to my specifications.
Derek's work has always been of an excellent standard and at a fair price. He works in a tidy and methodical manner and the results have always been extremely pleasing. His work on vehicles which have needed rectification for MOT testing has been praised for its tidiness.
